ON THE BALL ELTON GAMES TO FLOAT

Elton Games ("Elton"), producer of the internationally renowned Elton Derby games, is to list on OFEX via an offer for subscription to raise approximately £500,000, giving the company a market cap in the region of £1.5–2 million. Elton is looking to build and site 12 Elton games for operation by the company as well as increasing the profile of its global brand.

Since its formation in 1962 Elton has sold over 300 of its group games throughout the world. The game involves rolling a ball up a table. It drops into numbered score holes, causing a themed model such as a horse or dolphin, to move along a track, racing against other players. Elton has developed a wide range of games based on the original principle. These include the Kentucky Derby, the Arabian Derby, the Bucking Broncos, the Jousting Knights, the Battling Moors and Strike Gold.

The game has universal appeal due to its competitive nature and its ability to be played by people of any age from 5 upwards. Estimates are that 30 million people play the game every year. It is installed in such well-known venues as Circus Circus in Las Vegas, Warner Brothers Movie World in Spain, Butlins, Alton Towers in the UK and Sun City in South Africa. With a life expectancy in excess of 15 years, this offers an excellent return to leisure companies operating the machines.

Stuart Whistance, Executive Chairman commented: "This is a game played and loved by people from Hong Kong to Hawaii. The object of bringing Elton Games to market is to raise capital to enable us to scale up production of the games and to allow us to also operate them solely or jointly so as to gain a greater share of their robust revenues. I think exciting times lie ahead for us."
